Meet Dr. Hanson
Providing exceptional dentistry to the people of Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Craig M. Hanson, DDS
Dr. Craig M. Hanson grew up in Grosse Pointe Woods and has lived in Michigan since he was 17 months old.
He met his wife, Leyla, at Michigan State University, and after more than 40 years of marriage, she is still his best friend. Together they have three grown sons, Scott, Daniel, and Marc. They have also been blessed with two daughters-in-law, Chelsea and Desi, two grandsons, Leo and Ian, and one granddaughter, Isla.
Dr. Hanson has known he wanted to be a dentist since high school. He had a deep interest in analytic subjects like science and math. In addition to these interests, Dr. Hanson had a real desire to help people, and he enjoyed building relationships with others. Therefore he knew, his future career would need to be a combination of these passions.
Dr. Hanson also knew he wanted to have a good family and work-life balance. This led him to narrow down his choices to a profession in dermatology or dentistry. Ultimately, he chose dentistry and is extremely glad he did (as are we all!).
After being a dentist for more than 36 years, our dentist in Bloomfield Hills, MI…Learn more about our dentist on the homepage… is still in love with his profession. He attends continuing education courses to learn new techniques and care for his patients in the best way possible.
Dr. Hanson has been my dentist for three decades. He is an excellent dentist. Further, he cares about his patients and is always focused on providing the best care possible. I would highly recommend Dr. Hanson.

Get to Know Dr. Hanson
My family and I live on a lake, so naturally, we enjoy boating and like to water ski. I love to spend time with my sons, daughters-in-law, and of course, my grandchildren. I also enjoy hanging out with our pet Labrador, Charlie. Oh, and I am also a Trekkie.
My hero is my Dad. He and my Mom were always there for me. He gave me lots of great advice over the years and was honest enough to admit when he did not know something. He was a great listener and not just to me. He could get the shyest of people to open up and share things. He was much more interested in hearing about you than in talking about himself.
My greatest achievement is my kids. The three days that Scott, Daniel, and Marc were born (my sons) were the best days of my life. A close second was the day I met my wife.
